"These results tell the community what we have known all along -- that Mount St. Mary Academy offers a high quality education and a dedicated, talented faculty," says Principal Dawn Riggie. "This ranking does not tell the whole story of who we are as a school community, but it does send a strong message to Western New Yorkers about the great things going on at our school."
The Business First rankings consider four years of data, provided by the New York State Education Department. A rating is determined by the percentage of students who receive Regents diplomas, with special emphasis on diplomas with advanced designations, and scores on Foreign Language, English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies Regents exams.
One hundred percent of Mount St. Mary's graduates receive Regents diplomas. The school scored a 96.2% on the Business First ranking system.
Mount St. Mary Academy, founded by the Sisters of St. Mary of Namur, is an all-girls, Catholic college-preparatory high school located at 3756 Delaware Avenue in Kenmore. Mount St. Mary's is ranked in the top 5% of all Western New York high schools.
