Seniors Melissa Glieco and Katie Murphy prepare presents for St. Luke's Mission of Mercy.

Mount St. Mary Academy is continuing its holiday tradition of preparing gifts for children in need. Students prepare shoeboxes filled with presents for children of various age ranges and wrap their presents, placing them under the Mount St. Mary Christmas tree.  Presents are then delivered to St. Luke's Mission of Mercy where they are distributed to families throughout the area.

In 2010, MSM's students prepared over 230 gift boxes. This year, the students have set a goal for themselves of 250 presents. To accomplish their goal, students and faculty make individual contributions and compete by homeroom to bring in the most gifts.
