Erie County Legislator Kevin Hardwick, pictured above with Principal Dawn Riggie, made a $500 donation to the Mount St. Mary Academy Guardian Angel Scholarship on Friday, October 23. 

The Guardian Angel Scholarship provides tuition assistance to Mount St. Mary students who face financial difficulty.

"The plight of students who because of changing circumstances find themselves unable to keep their tuition payments current has been a major concern of the Board of Trustees," says Hardwick.  "I know there are a lot of families who are struggling to make ends meet and still provide their children with the strong foundation of a Catholic education.  I have great sympathy for them as my wife, Debbie, and I were once in their shoes."

Hardwick currently serves on Mount St. Mary Academy's Board of Trustees.
