On Saturday, August 27, Mount St. Mary Academy will host The Mount St. Mary Academy Music Festival on the front lawn of the school, 3756 Delaware Avenue in Kenmore. The festival runs from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. and admission is free.

The Mount St. Mary Academy Music Festival will feature bands from throughout the region, including: the Mount St. Mary Academy Jazz Ensemble, Buffalo Niagara Frontier Concert Band, Ghost Riders Drum & Bugle Corps, and the award-winning Mount St. Mary Academy Marching Band.  This is the first performance of the new season for the Mount St. Mary Academy Marching Band where they will debut their 2011-12 music selections.

The day will also includes a giant theme basket raffle, food, beverages, kids' games, and more.

The event is scheduled outside, and guests are asked to bring a lawn chair or blanket. In the event of rain, festivities will be staged inside the school.

"We are excited to have over four hundred musicians performing at this festival," said John Hathaway, Mount St. Mary Academy marching band director. "The Mount St. Mary Academy Music Festival promises to be a great day of music and fun for the entire family."
