Senior Bre Catipovic to sign National Letter of Intent
Mount St. Mary Academy Senior, Breanna Catipovic, is signing a National Letter of Intent to play soccer in the 2010-11 season for Niagara University. Catipovic holds the school’s all-time highest scoring record with 147 goals and 33 assists.
As a forward for the MSM Thunder, Catipovic scored 47 goals this season and was chosen for the 1st Team All-Western New York and 1st team All-Metro. She was also chosen as co-MVP of the Monsignor Martin League and the Super Seven Athlete of the Week. In 2008, Catipovic was honored as the Metro Player of the Year
Additionally, Catipovic has played for 6 years with the Empire United Soccer Academy of Buffalo, most recently leading the team to a New York State Cup Championship in 2009.
Catipovic will be joined for the signing by her parents, Richard and Joanne Catipovic, Mount St. Mary’s Principal, Dawn Riggie and Athletic Director, Patricia Hartnett.
