The MSM Reverse Raffle

Congratulations to Jackie Nuttle, winner of the 2011 Reverse Raffle $10,000 Grand Prize!

Many of our recent graduates will recognize Ms. Jackie Nuttle as our longtime Cafeteria Manager. Today, Ms. Nuttle has a big smile on her face after winning the big $10,000 grand prize at our second annual Reverse Raffle.

Nuttle (pictured above with two of her children) called her son just hours before the raffle began and convinced him that the odds were too good. Then she bought a ticket on his behalf.  Nuttle says, her son will definitely receive the prize money -- just as soon as he pays her back for the ticket.

Over 250 tickets were sold for the Reverse Raffle which also boasted second chance prizes and side raffles.  Stay tuned for details on next year's raffle, coming soon!

What's a Reverse Raffle?

A Reverse Raffle is a unique fundraiser that's one part raffle ticket and one part fantastic party. Each year we sell 400 (and only 400) tickets for $100 each. Then we throw an annual Reverse Raffle Drawing Party that has become the hit of the MSM social season.  Ticket holders attend and watch for their number to be called while celebrating with classmates, friends, family and friends of MSM.

Unlike in other raffles, you do not want your ticket to be drawn. Each ticket drawn is eliminated from winning the grand prize. The last ticket left in the basket wins $10,000.

Don't worry, even if your ticket isn't the first one drawn, you'll still enjoy a fabulous party and even have a chance to win a consolation prize. (Ticket holders need not be present to win.)
