Learn and have fun!

At Mount St. Mary Academy’s summer camps, you’ll meet new friends, have fun and learn.

Attend our Summer Sports camps in June and July where you will learn from the best athletes around. Then, join us in August for five days of fun, Summer Sessions ’08! This is sure to be week of fun and friends you’ll never forget!

Who can sign up?
Girls entering grades 5-8 in Fall, 2008.

When are Summer Sessions offered?
August 11 - 15 from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.

Where are the Summer Sports camps offered?
Sports camps are scheduled over two separate weeks in June and July. Look here for more details.

How can I sign up?
Complete the pdf registration form and return it with payment to Mount St. Mary’s as soon as possible.

  • Students should report to mount St. mary Academy’s cafeteria on the first day of classes. They will be escorted to the location of their first session.
  • Please bring a bag lunch.
  • Please be sure to drop off your daughter no earlier than 8:45 a.m. and pick her up promptly at 4:00 p.m.
  • Early registration is recommended because we cannot guarantee space in all sessions. Email or written confirmation will be sent to each participant.
    Space is limited, so don’t delay!

Cheerleading

Show your spirit! This program, led by MSM's Varsity Cheerleading coaches, focuses on stretches, jumps, stunts, flips, dances and cheers. Students of all experience levels are welcome!

Volleyball

Want to improve your volleyball skills or learn the basics of the game? You'll spend the week with MSM’s coaches and players who will share their expertise in an interactive, fun environment. Get ready to work hard and have fun!

Babysitting

This session will follow the American Red Cross Babysitting Course and cover basic safety, first aid and creative ways to spend time with young children. After this class, you'll be the babysitter all the neighborhood kids want. You may choose to be tested for CPR certification for an additional $6 fee.

Floral Frenzy

Let yourself go wild with paint, pastels and mixed media using flowers as the subject matter. You’ll work with a variety of techniques to create oneof- a-kind pieces of art that showcase summer’s most beautiful blooms.

Broadway Starlets

Enter the exciting world of musical theater, and the spotlight will be on you. Learn songs and dance moves from your favorite musicals such as: High School Musical, Annie, Beauty & The Beast and more! A highlight of the week will be a group performance.

Music Videos 101

Create your own music video using the latest technology. You'll pick a song, create scenes and edit it all together using windows movie maker. We'll burn the videos on a dvd for you to take home.

Phys. Ed Fun

Love to play games? Then this is the class for you. You’ll play some of your favorites – outside (if the weather permits) and in our beautiful gym. Gear up for can-jam, pin dodge ball, parachute and more. Games will be chosen based on participants' interest.

Craft Camp

Let your creativity shine! experience origami, tessellations, jewelry, handmade cards and more. This class will allow you make some wonderful projects to keep or give as gifts.

Sweets Treats

At MSM, we think dessert is the best part of every meal. Take this class and learn to make your own fabulous sweets – and you'll get the recipes to take home. Bon appétit!

Critter Crafts

Spend the week making crafts for someone you really love – your pet! Safe and strong toys, along with delicious and healthy edible treats, will make your pet (or someone else's) love you even more. You'll also make a pet-themed project for yourself.

Decoupaging with Found Poetry

Express yourself and let your creativity flow like never before. learn about "found" poetry and experiment with your own. You'll work indoors and out to create works to frame or personalized note cards to share by borrowing words and images from the world around you.

Eco-Friends

Learn how you can help protect your environment and have fun at the same time. We will swap ideas and stuff and make a variety of ecofriendly crafts including reusable shopping bags, greeting cards that grow and more!

Digital Scrapbooking

Combine the popular hobby of scrapbooking with modern technology, and you've got the recipe for fun. Learn to include new or existing photos, custom animation, music and narration for a project you'll keep for years to come. You’ll get a copy of your own digital scrapbook on cd to take home or give as a gift.

Viva Italia

Love Italian food, but wish you could make it at home? Take this tasty class and learn the delicious basics of italian cooking. You'll have a great time creating (and sampling!) in class, and you'll know how to make the traditional dishes in your own kitchen.

Summer Sports

Enjoy a variety of fun team and individual sports during this session. basketball, badminton, and floor hockey are just some of the options. Participants of all skill levels are welcome to sign up. We'll choose the sports based on your preferences!



This camp will teach the essentials of girls’ lacrosse. Participants will learn the rules of the game and the basics of playing lacrosse from the defending Msgr. Martin League Champions. Campers will receive individual attention, and team games will be held regularly. Participants must bring their own lacrosse stick and goggles.

Dates: June 30-July 3 from 9 a.m. to 1pm Cost: $80, includes a camp t-shirt
Location: Phillip Sheridan field, located at 3200 Elmwood Avenue, Kenmore
Please note: this is a four-day camp.

This camp will group participants according to their age and ability to optimize their learning experience. There will be an emphasis on the fundamentals of basketball through the use of group and individual drills. Team games will be held every day. Please bring a lunch.

Dates: July 21-25 from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Cost: $80, includes a camp t-shirt
